frozen stars

2022

mid january

in a stag’s antlers tangles

scent of early spring

lock down

over the hills

a wandering moon

zoo evening

a lion cub on a boulder

play fighting with the moon

chernobyl

still no man in sight

paradise returns

frosty night

even the stars

frozen

zazen

sky soars instead

one-legged seagull

in all circumstances

going with the flow

grass in the wind

acacia gum

who dares to mend

a broken heart

bamboo chime

by each wind stroke

a different rhythm

to be found

neither within, nor outside

the buddha

ripped apart

banner of blue canopy

razor storm

spring breeze

first baby toad jumps

out of full moon

walking the sky

star by star

brighter in each pace

storm over

un uprooted elm

hanging from clouds

first spring day

chill still lingers

from bud to bud

cold of war

a terrified elk chasing

the line of refugees

war rush hour

a limping soldier dragging

his shadow

approaching tanks

the full moon hiding

behind a wall

mark of war

even in the lake’s depth

ripples

Curling up

in heron pond

crescent moon

leaping

into the unknown

my inner warrior

liberty

my right

to be wrong

drizzle

a dusty road ends

into a new melody

tinder

endless swiping

river of stars

unrippled pond

 dropping my line

in a day moon

after drought

the realm of rain

global blessing

digital society

the abused and neglected

inner child

rising moon

a dark side of my haiku

fills with light

along      the wall crack      climbing ivy

new course

taking the plunge

kingfisher

heat halts

the unbuttoned shirt

rainy sky

July night

in each bead of rain

colours of moon

ploughing moon

above the village of

retired farmers

july shower

2 kissers under an umbrella

one wetter

summer breeze

the fleeting caprice of

little daisy

hazy rain      the faint gaze of      july dawn

dry season

the heron lake

empty of itself

drought

darting daisies

one by one

thick clouds

 the tumble of

 drought
