{"id":148,"date":"2026-05-12T15:20:03","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T15:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraidoon.com\/?page_id=148"},"modified":"2026-05-12T15:20:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T15:20:07","slug":"fireworks","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fraidoon.com\/?page_id=148","title":{"rendered":"fireworks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>2 december 2017<\/em>, <em>Amsterdam<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(a child\u2019s poem)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>sun doesn\u2019t want to shed smoky tears<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>sky doesn\u2019t want to be suffocated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>trees don\u2019t want to cough<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>streets don\u2019t want to lose their sight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>they all want to breathe and be left in peace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>so, without asking<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>p l e a s e!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>don\u2019t play with fireworks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>dogs, cats, hamsters, birds and babies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>can\u2019t complain<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>nevertheless they don\u2019t want to<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>be shaken and terrified<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>peace and tranquillity are their innate right<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>money does not want to be wasted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>hands want to wave, work and write<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a love letter, for instance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>eyes want to indulge in<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>seeing the cherry blossoms<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>windows want to smile openly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>instead, enjoy the shining eyes of a cat,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>embrace the bright beautiful burning flame<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>within yourself<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>enjoy your voice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>instead of deafening and blinding<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>explosions and noise<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>there are many ways to<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>celebrate the moment joyfully:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>buy chocolates for your mom<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or a small cottage for homeless birds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or a plant for a lady<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or adopt a tiny tree or a leopard cub<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or at least buy a book for yourself<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>so, without saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>p l e a s e!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>i\u2019m asking you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>not to play with fireworks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2 december 2017, Amsterdam (a child\u2019s poem) sun doesn\u2019t want to shed smoky tears sky doesn\u2019t want to be suffocated trees don\u2019t want to cough streets don\u2019t want to lose their sight they all want to breathe and be left in peace so, without asking p l e a s e! don\u2019t play with fireworks!
