{"id":172,"date":"2026-05-12T15:29:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T15:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraidoon.com\/?page_id=172"},"modified":"2026-05-12T15:29:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T15:29:18","slug":"winter-white-wood","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fraidoon.com\/?page_id=172","title":{"rendered":"winter white wood"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>16 february 2021<\/em>, <em>limburg<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">winter, winter, why you are so beautifully cold!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">a lone robin whispered<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">not only a thought lingers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in the sound of snowflakes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but also a sense of relief and comfort<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for the four seasons toiling plants<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018soft, sweet, serene dreams!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">descending tranquilly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on the unburdened bare branches<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">then thick overloaded<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">before breaking, they bend and bow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the snow jumps on the ground<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">now, only the white winter wood<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">is a sanctuary for solitude<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">for a solemn silence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">let\u2019s go there<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">with the pace of wind<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">without leaving a trace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but this too wouldn\u2019t remain this way<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">this deafening silence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">walk gently through this tedious lock down<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">creep under this confusing curfew<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in the face of this crisis<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">not only the walls<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but tellies, smart phones, laptops have ears and eyes too<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">let\u2019s escape to the sanctuary of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">this snow-caressed wood<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and in the song of a robin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">winter, winter why you are so brutally graceful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">let\u2019s have a feast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">with the silver velvet chandeliers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and listen to their silent hums<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">come and see the joy of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">bushtits and chickadees<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">come before the bat of night spreads wings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">come before this white aproned moment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">dissolves into the void<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">come with the pace of wind<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">without leaving a trace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">not because woods cannot lie and deceit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">not because its vibrant vivacity and vibes are uplifting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but because we understand our inner clatter and chatter there<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and learn how to breathe and draw new dreams on the white<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">not because it would distract you from the labyrinth of events<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">not because it would save you from time, bullying forth and back<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but because it will tell us the ancient stories<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">let\u2019s go there where people don\u2019t grow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">let\u2019s enjoy the snow-seeing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">before it melts sinks and vaporises<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">into this lonely freckled sky<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">winter winter you\u2019re so beautifully old<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>16 february 2021, limburg winter, winter, why you are so beautifully cold!
