{"id":176,"date":"2026-05-12T15:30:59","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T15:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fraidoon.com\/?page_id=176"},"modified":"2026-05-12T15:31:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T15:31:17","slug":"desert-within","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fraidoon.com\/?page_id=176","title":{"rendered":"desert within"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>18 september 2021<\/em>, <em>Limburg<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There grows a desert within me,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">sand grains absorb the shining sun,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">their light<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">almost blinding the galaxies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when sun floats, shines, pierces<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the belly of desert with its sharp rays,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">roaming scorpions, lizards, tarantulas, rattlesnakes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">even the desert dragon,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">without attacking, to live on, devour each other,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">multiplying in numbers, growing in seven directions,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">till nightfall kicks off its dominance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The caravan of clouds already departed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the sapphire sky emerges behind a rock,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">sifts the stars,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">each wave stroke of this sandy sea,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">tells a story of night depth,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">nocturnal shrieks and mist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The silver rolling ball covers the desert,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">it breeds a tiny fountain amid<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the ever-changing dunes,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">just right in there,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">a gold fish,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">wants to inhale the full moon,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">gazing at the milky way<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and flies straight upward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There grows a desert in me<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A desert monster appears<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the tapestry,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the nightfall swallows everything,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">desert starlit nights ceaselessly come and go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When dawn cracks,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the desert monster rises again,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">everyone takes a rock,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">lifting, carrying, toiling,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">panting, sweating to the top of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the high sandy dune,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">no one reaches,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">it falls again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>18 september 2021, Limburg There grows a desert within me, sand grains absorb the shining sun, their light almost blinding the galaxies.
